Baeksang awards are one of the most prestigious awards in South Korea. They are awarded to excellent performers in the field of entertainment, including film, television and theatre. You can call them the Oscars of the South Korean world, and it is a big deal for all the stars. Here are some of the celebrities who have performed well in over a decade and were able to bag awards and multiple nominations for their successful performance of the part and correct delivery. 1. Lee Byung Hoon
He was nominated for best actor twice and won both the times, for Mr. sunshine in 2019 and Iris in 2010 for the category of television. Lee Byung Hun has the most number of wins in Baeksang awards for Best Actor between 2010 and 2020.
2. Kim Nam Joo
Kim Nam Joo has tied with another fellow actress who has two wins for the Best Actress in the television category. She has the highest number of awards for the classification, and she has won it for Queen of Housewives in 2010 and Misty, which was released in 2018.
3. Kim Hee Ae
The other actress who tied with Kim Hee Ae as the actress with the most Baeksang best actress wins in the decade, with two awards for How Long I’ve Kissed released in 2013 and The World of the Married in 2020.
4. Hyun Bin
Hyun Bin has had the most significant number of nominations for Best Actor in the category of television. Three of his nominated dramas are Secret Garden, released in 2011; Memories of Alhambra in 2019 and the recent famous release Crash Landing on You, was which released in 2020. He has tied with Kim Soo Hyun.
5. Kim Soo Hyun
Kim Soo Hyun and Hyun Bin share the most number of nominations for the Best Actor in the television category at the Baeksang Awards. The dramas he has been nominated for are Moon Embracing the Sun in 2012, My Love from the Star released in 2014 and It’s Okay to Not Be Okay in 2021.
6. Shin Hye Sun
The actress Shin Hye Sun has been nominated for the Best actress category twice, once in 2018 for My Golden Life and again in 2021 for the controversial historical comedy drama Mr. Queen which got cancelled later because of the controversies regarding tampering with historical facts.
7. Lee Bo Young
Kim Nam Joo and Lee Bo Young both have three nominations to their name, and therefore Lee Bo Young got nominated for three dramas as the best actress, namely, My Daughter So Young in 2013, I Can Hear Your Voice in 2014 and the highly acclaimed drama Mother in 2018.
8. So Ji Sub
He has had two nominations at the Baeksang Arts Awards for Cain and Abel, and I’m Sorry, I Love You. Even though Cain and Abel couldn’t win at the awards, I’m Sorry, I love you did win the awards. So Ji sub has been nominated at other awards for Phantom and Oh My Venus as well.
9. Kang Ha Neul
Kang Ha Neul got nominated for the first time at the 56th Baeksang Art awards for the best actor in the television category for the drama, When the Camelia Blooms and won the prize. It is a significant achievement for the actor, who was previously seen in dramas like Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and movies like Midnight Runners.
10. IU
IU has been nominated at the Baeksang Arts Awards for two dramas, My Mister in 2019 and Hotel Del Luna in 2020. Lee Ji Eun secured one Baeksang for her drama in the category of V Live Popularity Award for My Mister. She has won other awards for music and acting as well.
