Not every successful actor had planned on becoming an actor from the very start; for some famous actors, it happened by chance. Sometimes people are fated for their careers and the success that follows. 1. Song Joon- Ki
Song Joon-ki had always aspired to be a speed skater as a child and a short track speed skater at that. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he had competed in many competitions. He had also represented his city at a national level, but unfortunately, he got injured during high school, but the good thing. was that he got cast in a drama due to his skills in skating.
2. So Ji Sub
So Ji Sub has been seen in many dramas and is so good at it, anybody would instantly feel like he was born to be an actor, but that is not the case he was planning on becoming a professional swimmer and had trained for it. He had dedicated eleven years to training, but he stumbled upon modelling as a way of making extra bucks and didn’t look back.
3. Sung Hoon
Sung Hoon was a professional swimmer for a long time, but due to an unfortunate incident when he had a spinal injury, he had to quit swimming. While he had enlisted for the army, he decided to go for a career change and decided to go for acting as a career. He was seen in 'Marriage Story'.
4. Song Hye Kyo
Song Hye Kyo was into figure skating in elementary school, but she decided to quit not long after in high school. In high school, she signed up for many modelling gigs and won them. Due to her immense popularity during modelling, she got cast for her very first drama appearance.
5. Lee Min Ho
Lee Min Ho as a child was into sports, mainly soccer. He used to play soccer up to elementary school when he met with an injury and had to quit soccer. He still plays soccer to this point as a hobby but took up acting in high school and also majored in film studies in college.
6. Jun Ji Hyun
Jun Ji Hyun has been in the film industry for a very long time and initially planned on becoming a flight attendant. As a child, she had always dreamed of travelling the world, but that came to a halt when she had a bad experience with a flight and had a friend who got her into modelling.
7. Jung Hae In
Jung Hae In had not voluntarily chosen the entertainment industry but was actually a biotechnology student and was almost going to work in that field after he graduated. But the universe had a different path for him. He was scouted by an agency in front of an ice cream shop as a student.
8. Won Bin
Won Bin is a countryside child; he had never lived in big cities or made huge plans or had big aspirations, and had thought of becoming a car mechanic. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles so, he thought of pursuing that. His passion for acting came by chance when he applied for a cable television station and got signed to an entertainment company.
9. Nam Joo Hyuk
A lot of the fans of the actor know about his love for basketball. He used to play basketball as a child and was in the high school team for three years, but he had to quit after he had a couple of surgeries for his shin. His dream of professional basketball ended there, and he opted for acting instead.
10. Lee Bo Young
Lee Bo Young was last seen in the drama Mine (2021) and has many famous works like I Can Hear Your Voice, Mother and When My Love Blooms. But initially didn’t want to become an actor but a news presenter and faced a lot of competition in the field. Eventually, she tried modelling and signed a contract for Asiana Airlines.
