Korean dramas are always trying to promote an accurate portrayal of their culture and history through the creations of historical dramas. All the sets and costumes are designed by keeping in mind that they should be catchy enough to capture the viewers' hearts, and as viewers, many of the actors we have seen in traditional wear have been way too pleasing for the eyes. The emperors, crowned princes, kings, and other characters come to life with great acting. Here are some actors who took up historical dramas and look majestic in their attires.

1. Yeo Jin Goo

He was last seen in the historical drama, Crowned Clown as a lead and as a supporting actor in the Moon Embracing the Sun and the Warriors of the Dawn. The drama "The Crowned Clown" is a movie remake with the same name. The show is about a king replacing himself with an identical-looking clown, and the sheer outstanding acting that the actor has shown is commendable.

 

2. Kim Jung Hyun

The recent controversial release, Mr. Queen, has been a comical masterpiece surrounded by controversies. But the actor played the role of the young ruler Won Beom, who appears to be a bold character as time passes. Although the debates did some damage, the audience praised his performance.

 

3. Do Kyung Soo

The singer-turned-actor was last seen in the drama "100 Days My Prince", where he loses his memory and becomes a commoner from a prince. He appeared in many different shades, from a martial arts expert to somebody who protects his wife and has epic delivery and comic timing when he got amnesia.

 

4. Kim Soo Hyun

He delivered a fantastic performance in the drama Moon Embracing the Sun. He even received high ratings due to his outstanding depiction of sorrowful love. He has the image of a young ruler; many people were concerned about his performance given his age, but we can tell for sure he did a great job.

 

5. Seo In Guk

We are aware of the acting range of the actor. He was seen in the historical drama "The King's Face," where we found his acting through his expressive eyes. The drama has a little bit of everything. But most importantly, he has fantastic chemistry and bond with the lead actress.

 

6. Lee Seung Gi

The drama "The King 2 Hearts" had both Lee Seung Gi (last seen in Mouse, a thriller K-drama) and Lee Seung Min (currently seen in the hospital drama, Hospital Playlist season 2), and both of them play the role of princes who were supposed to bond with North Korea.

 

7. Shin Sun Rok

He was last seen in the drama Kairos and is known for acting in Vagabond. But he was also seen in the historical drama "The Last Empress," where Shin Sung Rok played the role of the emperor with negative shades. The drama was well appreciated for its costumes.

 

8. Lee Min Ho

The King: Eternal Monarch- The drama is a blend of modern-day mixed with fantasy. Therefore, the costumes are all traditional with a twist. Lee Min Ho plays the role of an emperor and has one of the best luxurious clothing we have seen in a while. The costumes were well thought out and made.

 

9. Song Geon-Hee

He was seen in the drama Mystic Pop-Up bar, where we see him as the young prince who is in love with a shaman, but they have a tragic love story that takes a different turn later on. But Crown Prince Yi Heon gets reincarnated and always protects his love, Wol Joo.

10. Ju Ji-Hoon

He has been a part of two different historical dramas. One of them is of the romance genre, and the other is a fantasy thriller and action, covering zombie apocalypse; both the dramas are Princess Hours and Kingdom, respectively. In Kingdom, he plays the role of a crown prince, who has to face the plague, whereas Princess Hours revolves around arranged marriages.
