Disbandment is always a hard hit to take for K-pop stans. Yet, with factors like the seven-year curse, company and individual decisions, groups disband. But stans can still support their biases and other idols if they debut again. Some members go solo while some re-debut in different groups. Here are the top 10 idols who re-debuted after disbandment and are highly successful.

1. Jang Wonyoung

Wonyoung used to be a member IZ*One, a thirteen-member girl group that debuted on October 29, 2018, and disbanded on April 29 2021, after contracts expired. Wonyoung, with fellow member Yujin, debuted almost immediately on December 1, 2021, in another girl group, IVE, under Starship Entertainment, after competing in the survival show Produce 48. Upon debut, she became the most popular member of IVE.

2. An Yu-Jin

Yujin also used to be a member of IZ*One and debuted in IVE with fellow member Wonyoung. She is the leader of IVE and the second oldest. She also competed in Produce 48 and ranked 5th to land in the final lineup of IVE. She was the first member of IVE to be revealed.

3. Jeon Somi

Somi is an extremely popular soloist, both in Korea and internationally, under YG Entertainment's The Black Label. Somi debuted as a member of I. O. I after competing in Produce 101 and ranking first. After I. O. I's disbandment in 2017, she debuted as a soloist on June 13, 2019, with her single Birthday.

4. Chungha

Chungha debuted as a member of I. O. I after ranking fourth on Mnet's Produce 101. She debuted as a soloist under MHN Entertainment immediately after the disbandment of I. O. I on June 7, 2017, with Hands on Me.

5. SinB

SinB debuted as a member of GFriend under Source Music. After the group's sudden disbandment, she and two of her members, Eunha and Umji, re-debuted as a trio in VIVIZ on February 9, 2022, under BPM Entertainment.

6. Sakura

Sakura Miyawaki debuted with IZ*One after ranking 2nd on Produce 48. After IZ*One's disbandment, Sakura, with fellow member Chae-won, debuted as a member of Le Sserafim under Source Music and Hybe Corporation on May 2, 2022. After her debut, she was the most popular member of Le Sserafim.

7. Chae-Won

Chaewon joined Produce 48 after training for 11 months under Woollim Entertainment. She ranked tenth and was added to IZ*One's final lineup of IZ*One. After IZ*One disbanded, she joined Source Music, reuniting with fellow member Sakura. Together they debuted in Source and Hybe's collaboration girl group Le Sserafim with I'm Fearless.

8. Kwon Eunbi

Eunbi debuted as a member of IZ*One after finishing seventh place in Produce 48  with the single La Vie en Rose. She was chosen to be the leader of the group. After disbandment, she stayed with Woollim Entertainment and debuted as a soloist on August 24, 2021, with Open.

9. Eunha

Eunha debuted in the final lineup of GFriend after being invited by Source Music's team leader Lee Ri-won to join the company in 2014. She debuted after only two months of training in the agency. After GFriend's disbandment, she signed a contract with BPM Entertainment members SinB and Umji and debuted in VIVIZ.

10. Umji

Umji was asked by the CEO of Source Music to audition for the company. After passing the audition, she debuted as a member of GFriend. After disbandment, she signed a contract with BPM Entertainment and re-debuted in VIVIZ.
