Your lie in April is a Japanese romantic drama manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Arakawa. ironically, I can't adequately convey in words just how great this show is. it over-powered me with emotion, the same way your favourite song makes you smile, dance or cry but you don't know why. Overall the anime is amazing and leaves you with a bittersweet feeling. A highly recommended film for you to watch.

2. Orange - Japanese Movies (2015)

Fantasy, romance

This is one of the best works of Kento Yamazaki and one of the best movies. This movie has the perfect leads, acting, and scenes along with an amazing storyline. The story about a parallel world is quite intriguing. Much more if one has to do something to change what will the future be for those in that parallel world. A very nice story about friendship. The characters will surely steal your hearts away. It’s really a great story. This is one worth watching.

3. One Week Friends - Japanese Movies (2017)

Drama, romance

Heartwarming and delicate will be two words I can use to describe this. it is a simple story of making friends, with the added twist of forgotten memories. A nice romantic movie. I recommend you to watch it once in a lifetime and also the climax is beautiful. It’s a very heart touching movie, make sure to have a tissue box next to you!

4. Sei No Gekiyaku (2020)

Drama

A hardworking office worker who gets drunk and attempts to jump and commit suicide, while his perfect life turns upside down. Suddenly, he was helped by a mysterious man, Yoda, but that was the beginning of a horrible life of confinement training.

 

5. Labyrinth Of Dreams (1997)

Mystery, thriller

This beautiful black and white film, Labyrinth of Dreams, is an extremely stunning mystery about a young girl named, Tomiko who tries to search for a killer. A beautiful monochrome nightmare. A maze of enigmas and unsettling visions. A seductive bus driver stages elaborate crashes in order to kill the conductors who are also his lovers. Based on Kyusaku Yumeno's novel "shojo jigoku satsujin rerei", yume no ginga, labyrinth of dreams, is a masterpiece depicting young girl's dream.

 

6. Mars: Tada, Kimi Wo Aishiteru (2016)

Romance, drama

Mars: Tada, Kimi Wo Aishiteru, a romantic youth drama film. The film is directed by Saiji Yakumo and released in Japan in the year 2016.

It's a love story, a very deep one. The story is about Kira and Rei, two high school students. The two become friends and eventually lovers. however, both Kira and Rei are hiding their troubled pasts, and through their relationship they confront their past demons.

 

7. 12 Suicidal Teens (2019)

Mystery, suspense

This has actually a good plot. At first, it will look like this is a murder mystery. Then the story goes on and unveils the twist in the story. It tackles true society problems. As a person, I understand their burdens. A must watch movie.

Some movies just shake you to the core, challenge your believes and makes you realize how grateful you are just to be alive. This is one such movie. A beautifully crafted movie.

8. Ghost In The Shell (1995)

Action, sci-fi

A cyberpunk classic that explores what it means to be human in the world of artificial intelligence and advanced machinery. The animation quality and storytelling were amazing. One of the best and most well-made films ever.  Hard to understand on the first viewing, though; it bears repeat viewings and close study. Deep, dark, plunging you into the depths of consciousness, a masterpiece.

 

9. Audition (1999)

Horror, mystery

The themes brought in such a nuanced and symbolic ways where even the smallest detail, in the script or cinematography, means something. this is the movie you definitely going to enjoy. A brilliant film, in a way one can feel a little sorry for the protagonist. The story was beautiful, the torture scene a little odd but, nonetheless a brilliant piece of cinema. A pretty good thriller film with less suspense and more slasher, well that's Japanese.

 

10. Noise (2017)

Drama

The movie named Noise is set in Akihabara. It was released 10 years after the Akihabara massacre. It features an ensemble cast, written from multiple points of view. All the characters are shown struggling in their own situations, and many of them are interrelated as the plot progresses. This movie is brilliant piece of cinematography and looks deeply into human suffering. It rocked me to the core. Absolutely brutal.
