Helping those in need is a deed beyond all greatness. The following celebrities have proven that all money and fame might not be all that glorious if it is not put into the support of a greater good.
1. Huang Zitao
Huang Zitao is a well-known idol and is an ex-member of the world-famous K-pop group EXO. He was in the limelight in 2021 for his heavy donation to the Henan Flood case. Zitao had donated 3 million Yuan. In addition, he instructed his team to send all the apparel from his warehouse and other stocks to the rescue team front lines of the disaster.
2. Louis Koo
The greatly noted actor has donated huge sums of money and has successfully helped in the construction of 135 schools since 2008. Some of the schools that Louis generously donated to are Chengguan Town Centre Kindergarten, Sungang Primary School, and Maosheng Wanxiao.
3. Fan Bingbing
Fan Bingbing is a renowned actress who donated $72,000 to the Wuhan Benevolent General Association, early this year on 26 January. The Wuhan Benevolent General Association works to provide relief during the coronavirus pandemic.
4. Zhang Ziyi
The Sichuan earthquake of 2008 caused an enormous uproar in the country to help its fellow mates. Actress Zhang Ziyi donated a total sum of 1 million Yuan to the Chinese Red Cross Association as means of helping those in need of any assistance.
5. Yang Zi
Yang Zi is currently one of China’s most in-demand actresses. Earlier this year, she donated 500,000 Yuan to help fund covid relief programs. This amount is the highest amount donated by young artists.
6. Xiao Zhan
Famous for his role as Wei Wuxian in the hit historical drama, “The Untamed”, Xiao Zhan is currently one of the most sought-after and most-heavily paid actors in China. The actor had donated 1 million Yuan to the Zhengzhou Red Cross to aid people affected by the Henan flood earlier this year.
7. Huang Xiaoming
The Yunnan earthquake was one of the deadliest earthquakes of its time. The earthquake hit Zhaotong city with a soaring magnitude of 6.5. The disaster killed over 600 individuals, and many more had been injured. It had given rise to an extreme need for help. Many celebrities had stepped forward to aid the cause and, in the midst of this, the actor Huang Xiaoming contributed 100,000 Yuan to relief efforts.
8. Han Hong
After witnessing the concerns of aid that followed the aftermath of a disaster, Han Hong set up the “Han Hong Love Rescue Movement”. She personally donated 3.3 million Yuan to her foundation. The singer and her team of volunteers have since then helped provide relief to many people. She has famously spoken out on how people should get more involved in aiding those in need. Han Hong has personally taken part in many charity events, and donations.
9. Ambassador Sun Yuxi
Ambassador Sun had donated 1 million Rupees to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation of India. The Foundation was established in remembrance of the late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India. The Foundation works to promote education for all, women empowerment, health and hygiene, and helping those in need. The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is one of India’s most influential foundations.
10. Zhang Yixing
Zhang Yixing is a member of the boy group EXO. The popular idol has been a regular donor to funds and organizations working to help with the coronavirus outbreak. As published by the Wuhan Red Cross, Zhang Yixing had donated 100,000 Yuan and 60,000 masks to hospitals in Wuhan. The idol-actor further went on and donated masks to more hospitals.
