1. Noriko’s Dinner Table

Noriko’s Dinner Table is a Japanese horror movie that tells the story of a teenager played by Kazue Fukiishi, who ran away from her family to Tokyo; to join an internet cult whose leader, played by Tsugami, hired out members to clients who wanted to pretend they have a family.

 

2. Versus

This movie is set in a deep forest called the Forest of Resurrection. It tells the story of an escaped prisoner, Tak Sakaguchi, and a mystery woman, Chieko Misaka, who faced an ambush of invincible undead combatants in the Resurrection Forest.

 

3. Gozu

Gozu is a horror, comedy, crime movie, and is a mixture of yakuza with ghost stories and urban legends. The turmoil starts when a yakuza boss orders a gangster played by Hideki Sone to kill a mentally unstable colleague played by Shô Aikawa.

 

4. Cold Fish

Directed by Sion Sono, with starring Makoto Ashikawa, Denden, Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Asuka Kurosawa to name a few. Cold fish is a movie about a suburban couple whose lives are upturned when an old man gives their daughter a job at his fish store and revealed ghastly hobbies.

 

5. Dark Water

Dark Water is a 2002 Japanese horror movie about a single mother played by Hitomi Kuroki and her six-year-old daughter played by Rio Kanno. Together they move into an apartment that’s each and every surface is permeated by water. Strange occurrences keep happening, and they start seeing strange visions of the supernatural which takes a toll on them.

 

6. Confessions

Tetsuya Nakashima's psychological thriller Confessions, stars Takako Matsu, Masaki Okada, Yoshino Kimura, and Kaoru Fujiwara, to name a few. The plot revolves around a bereaved mother who transforms into a cold-blooded enemy with a twisted master plan to get revenge on those responsible for her daughter's death.

 

7. Audition

Audition is a thriller that follows the story of a widower played by Ryo Ishibashi, who decides to start dating again. Fake production was used by her to function it as a dating service. She becomes interested in a male played by Eihi Shiina, and they begin dating; nonetheless, tension grows, leading to a perplexing finale.

 

8. Tag

Tag is directed by Sion Sono and stars Reina Triendl, Mariko Shinoda, Erina Mano, Yuki Sakurai. It’s a movie that follows the story of a girl whose life torrents into chaos as everyone around her suffers a harsh gruesome fate, while it becomes less certain of who she is. A lady is thrown into a peculiar series of parallel realities, each of which ends in a violent massacre.

 

9. Cure

Cure is a crime, horror, mystery movie. It tells an account of an investigator, played by Koji Yakusho, who deals with a slew of terrible murders perpetrated by people who have no recall of what they did.

 

10. The Ring

The Ring is a mystery, thriller movie directed by Hideo Nakata. It is about a reporter played by Reiko Asakawa, and her ex-husband played by Hiroyuki Sanada they investigate a cursed videotape that was rumoured to kill the viewer in seven days after watching him.
