Movies and sports have both been around for a very, very long time. There are many excellent films in a wide variety of genres. Because they incorporate so many different genres, sports movies have been very successful. You may start out laughing, but they have a way of making you so emotional that you end up crying.

1. Gensan Punch

Brillante Mendoza is the director of the 2021 Philippine-Japanese sports biographical film Gensan Punch. It is based on a true story about Nao Tsuyama, a disabled athlete who refuses to let his artificial leg stand in the way of his dream to become a professional boxer, and stars Shogen, Ronnie Lazaro, and Kaho Minami. On October 9, 2021, it had its world premiere at the 26th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

2. High Kick Girl

The 2009 Japanese martial arts movie High Kick Girl!, which also features Rina Takeda as the lead, was written and directed by Fuyuhiko Nishi. A girl with a brown belt who is desperate to obtain a black belt and thinks she can do so by competing against other black belt holders.

3. Muscle Heat

A 2002 action movie from Japan, Muscle Heat was helmed by Ten Shimoyama. Naoto Takenaka, Masaya Kato, Show Aikawa, and Kane Kosugi all appear in the movie. In the movie, a former Navy SEAL makes an effort to take down a criminal organisation that profits from the use of the dangerous drug "Blood Heat." On October 26, 2002, Muscle Heat was released in Japan theatres.

4. The Prince Of Tennis

The Prince of Tennis is a sports movie from Japan from 2006 that is based on the Takeshi Konomi manga series of the same name. Kanata Hongo plays Ryoma Echizen in the Yuichi Abe-directed and Daisuke Habara-written movie. The narrative is compressed from Ryoma's arrival in Japan to their match against Hyotei Academy. The movie debuted on May 13th, 2006 in Japan.

5. Tokyo Olympiad

Tokyo Olympiad, also known as Tky Olympic in Japan, is a 1965 Japanese documentary film that follows the Tokyo Summer Olympics of 1964. It was directed by Kon Ichikawa. Ichikawa's film was regarded as a cinematographic milestone in documentary filmmaking, much like Leni Riefenstahl's Olympia, which chronicled the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. Tokyo Olympiad, however, maintains a focus that is much more on the atmosphere of the games and the human side of the athletes than it is on winning and the outcomes.

8. The Battery 2007

His mother Makiko (Yuki Amami), who is so protective of Seiha that she can't help acting cold to Takumi, and his frailer younger brother Seiha (Akihiro Yarita), complete his family.

9. The Ringside Story 2017

For the past ten years, Kanako (Eriko Sato) and Hideo (Eita) have been dating. While Hideo looks for work as an actor, Kanako works at a bento factory. Kanako receives word that she is losing her job one day. When Hideo finds out that Kanako won't have a job, he panics. He then informs her of a position available at a professional wrestling company. Hideo is a huge fan of wrestling, but Kanako has no interest in it.

10. Naoko 2008

While residing on an island for medical treatment, Naoko encounters Yusuke. She is enamoured with Yusuke after being mesmerised by his athletic grace. However, after Yusuke's father passes away while attempting to save Naoko from drowning, their relationship soon breaks down. Six years later, at a Marathon competition, they run into each other again because of Yusuke's memory.
