They, as public figure keeps their strong opinion in front of the commoners. And the public is the main reason behind an actor's stardom. They love their superstars so immensely and blindly that they agree to almost anything the actor says. And that's one of the reasons, why the actors are made the face of the political parties to attract the majority of the votes.

1. Atsuo Nakamura

Atsuo Nakamura is a Japan-origin actor and politician. On 18th February 1940, he was born in Tokyo City. He has appeared in more than half-a-century films. He started as a theatre actor, then became a household name after his show broadcasted on television. In 1998, he got elected to the House of Councillors, but In 2004 he lost his seat.

2. Akiko Ikuina

Akiko Ikuina is a Japan-origin actress, singer, and politician. On 28th April 1968, she was born in Koganei, Tokyo. She started modeling while she was still in High School. She joined a Japanese pop idol group called Onyanko Club in 1986. In 2016, she became an expert member of the Council for the realization of work style reform. In April 2022, she announced her bid for parliament under the Liberal Democratic Party.

3. Junko Mihara

Junko Mihara is a Japanese-origin singer, actress, car racer, and politician. On 13th September 1964, she was born in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan. She has appeared in many early Television dramas and films. Along with her acting career, she also remained active as a car racer. In 2010, she got elected as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.

4. Kensaku Morita

Kensaku Morita is a Japanese actor, singer, and politician. On 16th December 1949, he was born in Ota City, Tokyo, Japan. He has appeared in films like Castle of Sand, Mount Hakkoda, The War in Space, etc. In 2009, he got selected as the Governor of Chiba Prefecture. In 2021, he got retired from his position.

5. Eriko Imai

Eriko Imai is a Japanese pop singer, actress, and politician. On 22nd September 1983, she was born in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. She debuted as a pop singer with the group Speed in 1990. She has also appeared in several dramas after the popularity of the band. In 2016, she became a candidate for the Japanese House of Councillors election under the Liberal Democratic Party and won.

Taro Yamamoto is a Japanese-origin actor and politician. On 24th November 1974, he was born in Takarazuka, Hyogo, Japan. He has starred in many films like Love Letter, Moon Child, Battle Royale, and Go. He joined politics in 2011 as a protestor in the anti-nuclear movement, and after then, he continued to contest for different seats in elections.

7. Hideo Higashikokubaru

Hideo Higashikokubaru is a Japanese-origin actor, comedian, and politician. On 16th September 1957, he was born in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki, Japan. He is widely known for his famous show Takeshi's Castle. In 2012, he got elected to the House of Representatives in the general election of 2012, but after a year he resigned.

8. Akiko Santo

Akiko Santo is a Japanese actress, reporter, and politician. On 11th May 1942, she was born in Tokyo, Japan. She served the position of President of the House of Councillors of Japan from 2019-2022. She also served as the Vice President of the House of Councillors from 2007-2010.

9. Katsuhiko Yokomitsu

Katsuhiko Yokomitsu is a Japanese actor, singer, and politician. On 4th November 1943, he was born in Taiwan. He is a politician of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP) and a member of the House of Representatives in the National Legislature.

10. Yukio Aoshima

Yukio Aoshima was an actor, singer, novelist, film director, and politician. On 17th July 1932, he was born in Tokyo, Japan. He served as a Governor of Japan from 1995 to 1999. On 20th December 2006, he took his last breath in Koto City, Tokyo, Japan.
