With the rise of Asian pop music bands and their popularity among western people, the Chinese pop music industry is growing fast. There are many new-generation Chinese idols. So, here we bring you a list of ten emerging New-Generation Chinese Pop Stars.

1. Lucas (WayV)

Wong Yuk-Hei, or Lucas, is a Chinese singer, rapper, and model. He is a member of a C-pop boy group WayV, under SM Entertainment. Lucas' parents own a Thai restaurant in Hong Kong, and he often helps there. His mother is Thai. Lucas appeared as a cast member of the Chinese reality show Keep Running. He released a single in 2018, 'Coffee Break.'

 

2. Xiao Zhan (X NINE)

Xiao Zhan is a Chinese singer and actor. He is a member of the C-pop boy band X NINE. The group X NINE debuted in 2016, with Xiao Zhan as the main vocalist. He also starred in dramas like The Untamed (2019), The Wolf (2020), Douluo Continent (2021), and The Oath of Love (2022).

 

3. Wang Yibo (UNIQ)

Wang Yibo is a Chinese singer, rapper, dancer, actor, and philanthropist. In 2011, Wang participated in the National dance competition and placed 16th in the hip-hop category. He then became a trainee under Yuehua Entertainment. In 2014, Yibo debuted as a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band UNIQ. He is well-known for his roles in the drama Gank Yor Heart (2019), The Untamed (2019), Luoyang (2021), and Legend of Fei (2020). Wang Yibo ranked second in the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list in 2021.

 

4. Cheng Xiao (Cosmic Girls)

Cheng Xiao is a Chinese singer, dancer, and actress. She is a member of the South Korean-Chinese girl band WJSN (Cosmic Girls). Cheng Xiao starred in dramas like Detective Chinatown (2020), My Heart (2021), and Vacation of Love 2 (2022). She won the award for the Popular Idol of the Year in 2019.

 

5. Lay Zhang (EXO)

Zhang Yixing, or Lay Zhang, is a Chinese singer, rapper, dancer, actor, and businessman. His first acting role was when he got six years old in the 1998 Chinese drama- We ARe People.  He started with the Chinese reality talent show Star Academy in 2005. In 2012, he debuted as a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO under SM Entertainment. Lay starred in movies and dramas like Ex-Files (2015), Kung Fu Yoga (2017), The Mystic Nine (2016), The Golden Eyes (2019), Empress of the Ming (2019), and Crime Crackdown (2021).

 

6. Xiaojun (WayV)

Xiao De Jun, or Xiaojun, is a Chinese singer and dancer. He is the main vocalist of the South Korean-Chinese boy band WayV, a sub-unit of NCT. Xiaojun participated as a contestant in the Chinese reality survival show X-Fire. He starred in the drama Hello, My Youth (2021).

 

7. Karry Wang (TFBOYS)

Wang Junkai, or Karry Wang, is a Chinese actor and singer. In 2013, he debuted as a leader of the Chinese boy band TFBOYS. In 2020, Karry ranked 10th on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list. He starred in movies, and dramas like Namiya (2017), Legend of Ravaging Dynasties 2 (2020), The Fallen Bridge (2020), Faith Makes Great (2021), and Be Reborn (2022).

 

8. Yiren (EVERGLOW)

Wang Yiren, born in 2000, is a Chinese singer. She is a member of the C-pop girl group EVERGLOW under Yue Hue Entertainment. Yiren got voted as the #1 Visual Center in Produce 48. She has a talent for traditional Chinese dance. In 2022, Yiren released her first solo single 'Call Call.' She was a contestant in the Chinese reality show Produce 48 in 2018.

 

9. Cai Xunkun (Nine Percent)

Cai Xunkun, or KUN, born in 1998, is a Chinese singer, dancer, and rapper. He debuted as a member of the C-pop group SWIM and participated in the Chinese reality show Super Idol. After leaving the group, he joined another C-pop group named NINE PERCENT in 2018. In 2019, Kun released his first solo tour. In 2021, he appeared as a cast member in the reality show Keep Running.

 

10. Yuqi ((G)I-DLE)

Song Yuqi, or Yuqi, born in 1999, is a Chinese singer, dancer, and songwriter. She is the lead dancer of the South Korea-Chinese girl group (G)I-DLE. Her hobbies are dancing and rapping. In 2014, Yuqi auditioned for CUBE. In 2019, she was a cast member of the Chinese reality show Keep Running and the host of Learn Way (2021).
