Article: Top 10 Most Hated Chinese Celebrities

The capacity to devote and be vulnerable in their medium is what distinguishes a star. It is hardly a surprise, then, that someone susceptible will feel defensive when challenged. If you are in a sensitive area, you will react. Actors who are more self-actualized have similar feelings, but they are better at compartmentalizing and learning from their experiences. Here are some hated Chinese celebrities.

1. Liu Yan

Liu has many admirers for her beauty and career accomplishments, but she is also possibly the most despised Chinese actress. Most women and girls despise seeing her on TV, including the fact that she is simply stunning or that she flaunts her wares without apologies to gender.

2. Gong Li

Gong Li fell while transferring her citizenship during the evaluation procedure. She came in dead last, behind mainland rock musician Zang Tianshuo, jailed in November for alleged mobbing, and Hong Kong performer Edison Chen, involved in a nude photo controversy.

3. Jing Tian

Jing Tian has won Worst Actress three times (one nomination); no matter how the story line changes, her facial expression stays constant—smiling through all the suffering and hurdles. In reality, Jing Tian's screen time as a biologist in Kong is essentially non-existent, with 12 lines and no contact with the main characters.

4. Zheng Shuang

The 'Love 020' and 'Swords of Legends' stars had tremendous talent, appearing on stage at the age of four but she has been sacked by Prada following the surrogacy controversy. After divorcing spouse Zhang Heng after only 11 months, his charges of desertion and greed are fuelling social media vitriol and Chinese censorship.

5. Zhao Wei

Following the ban on actor Zhang Zhehan for visiting Yasukuni Shrine, works by scandal-hit actress Zhao Wei was withdrawn from platforms. The name of Chinese wealthy actress Zhao Wei has been erased from many of the works she starred in on major Chinese video platforms, as have many of the films, talk shows, and TV series she appeared in.

6. Kris Wu

In the summer of 2021, the Chinese-Canadian celebrity Kris Wu, better known as Wu Yifan in China, became a big subject on Chinese social media when he was accused of grooming young girls and forcing women into sex.

7. Fan Bingbing

Last year, on May 28, Fan was travelling to Los Angeles with her entourage when the problems began (including a friend who reportedly got work done to look like her). Cui Yongyuan, a famous TV broadcaster, shared two copies of Fan's contract for Cell Phone 2 on Weibo. One estimated her income to be $7.8 million, while the other estimated $1.5 million. The inference was clear: Fan had falsely disclosed the lower quantity to the Chinese tax authorities to avoid paying taxes on the remainder.

8. Li Xialu

Li became embroiled in an incident in late 2017 after she was caught spending the night at the house of The Rap of China rapper PG One. Because Li was still married at the time, social media erupted over this 'cheating gate', particularly after Jia Nailing on live-stream where his wife was and allegedly replied: "Getting her hair done!"

9. Zhang Zhehan

In August 2021, photographs of Chinese actress Zhang Zhehan visiting Japan's Yasukuni Shrine and attending a wedding at Nogi Shrine went popular on social media. The fact that some of these images were three years old didn't seem to matter: Zhang got harsh criticism for being 'unpatriotic,' even being accused of being a traitor to his nation.

10. Henry Huo

Huo announced his departure from the hit TV program Call Me By Fire in the summer of 2021 after his ex-girlfriend Chen Lu openly accused him of being a serial cheater and leaked WeChat chat photos to reveal that he genuinely loathed the show.
