In an anime, the protagonists are considered the main lead of the anime and are considered the center of the series. Sometimes even the side characters, also known as the side actor or the supporting actor, get more attention than the main characters. In some cases, they outdo the main character, gaining the spotlight, filling up the little gaps, and bringing color to the series with their intense action, and presence. L Lawliet in Death Note, known as L,a detective who is world-renowned who takes on the challenge of catching Kira, the mass murderer. Even though his past is mysterious, he has gained the reputation of the world’s most excellent detective profiler. During the investigation, he starts becoming suspicious of Light Yagami and aims to prove that Kira is Light. Light Yamu being the protagonist doesn’t make L look any less significant to the viewers.
3. Kamina
Kamina is one of the best characters in the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Despite having a tragic end, Kamina still plays an essential role in the main characters’ lives, mainly to Simon, to whom he acts as a spiritual motivation to keep on fighting. His spirit, motivation, and determination help change Simon into the great leader and savior of humanity. He has an extensive fan base because of his motivational personality.
4. Karma Akabane
Karma Akabane of the anime series Assassination Classroom is a student in Korosensei’s Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School who gets suspended from school due to his violent behavior. Zeref Dragneel is the antagonist of the series Fairy Tail. He was considered to be the strongest and evil Mage who possessed extremely powerful and dangerous magic. He is the elder brother of Natsu Dragneel, the protagonist. He is the user of Balck Magic and Ankhseram gave him a contradictory curse.

Rem alongside Ram, her sister is a maid in service of margrave Roswaal L Mathers. This blue-haired girl from Re: Zero went through significant character development in the series. She has her insecurities which are caused by her older sister, and her dealing with them is amazingly portrayed in the series. She went from trying to kill the main character to saving and caring for him.
8. Shoto Todoroki
Shoto Todoroki is a superhero and one of the protagonists of the anime series My Hero Academia. He has an edgy and relaxed personality which makes him a viewer’s fan favorite. Shoto has the powers of fire and ice, which often separates him from his siblings. He had to go through many struggles, which made him insecure after his father abused his mother, and he began to despise him and, as a result, refused to use his firepower.
9. Erza Scarlet
Erza Scarlet is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, wherein she is a member of Team Natsu. She is one of the most robust female anime characters with a strict but fun and loving personality. She always felt a bit insecure without armor which is the result of her dark past.
10. Katsuki Bakugo
Katsuki Bakugo, known as Kacchan by his childhood friends, is a student who is training to become a Pro Hero. Izuku Midoriya, the protagonist, is considered as his rival. His fascinating evolution in the anime, from bullying the protagonist to helping and caring for him, was liked by the viewers.
