Anime Digest

Yu-Gi-Oh series is back with its seventh series, Yu-Gi-Oh: Sevens! Yuga Ohdo plays the main character in the series. Like many prior seasons, SEVENS introduces and emphasizes a new kind of duelling: Rush Duel. Maximum Summoning is a recent sort of Summoning introduced in SEVENS. However, it is rare compared to the new Summoning methods introduced in the last series, and it was only presented at the climax of the Maximum arc. An exclusive type is introduced in this series, which is the Fusion Monsters.

 The Feel-Good Part

This show has surprisingly mature themes if one looks past the childlike theme. As the story progresses, the subject becomes increasingly influential. The animation is fantastic, especially later in the series when the maximums are introduced; the characters are interesting and distinct and grow well. The jokes are always on point and rarely go flat.

 The Disappointing Factor

The storyline does not develop for the first few episodes, and there are a few duels among the characters.

 In-Depth Analysis

Yuga Ohdo, a fifth-grader at Goha 7th Elementary, spends all his time inventing “Roads,” or road-like creations. After becoming dissatisfied with the grownups’ suffocating duelling regulations, Yuga decided to make his duel, allowing duelists to go all-out from the start. Because the maker, Goha Corporation, regulates a penalty mark every time a disc prescribes unauthorized access with a time limit to cease action, Yuga finds it tough to put the new data into the rules servers from his Duel Disk. Yuga has earned five penalties, which means his duelist account will be permanently blocked. But then, on his way to his lab, Luke, the self-proclaimed “#1 Duelist of Goha 7th Elementary,” stops Yuga and tells him about the urban legend about the “King of Duels.” A mysterious individual welcomed the curious youngsters when they arrived at a significant monument! Yuga could be recognized as a King if those new laws were implemented, but only if he beats his rival within the time limit. Yuga and Luke, betting on one final opportunity, are ready to begin their adventure as they try to alter a stuffy, stifling world with a new way of Dueling.

 Star Power

Yuga is a thoughtful, calm, and clever child who solves difficulties independently. He created Rush duels, and unlike previous protagonists, his goal is for everyone to have a good time, not for him to be the greatest duelist. He’s a fun character to watch, and even though he’s sometimes overlooked, there are significant moments that highlight that he’s the main star power of the series.

 Overall Opinion

The show is fantastic, especially later in the series when the maximums are added – the characters are well-developed and unique. Duel outcomes are relatively uncertain for the first time in a Yu Gi Oh series since, in duels, one would expect the main protagonist to win, but he ends up losing. The only reason for a 3/5 rating is the storyline in the first few episodes, as one might drop the series thinking it is boring when it is so much fun.
