The “Otherworld” is a large and dangerous area. It is unknown to the general public. Numerous monsters that survive there also pose a hazard to any humans who venture there. One must look for portals that could be hidden everywhere, from hidden elevators to shrine entrance points, to experience its barren but curiously captivating surroundings. Sorao Kamikoshi muses over whether to continue living or give up after a tragic encounter with a terrifying Otherworldly inhabitant. Toriko Nishina, who fears her companion Satsuki is gone someplace in the Otherworld, is searching the area in the meantime. Their bond grows as they run into each other. The two switch back and forth between the natural world and the other to learn as much as they can about this mysterious dimension. As they work to achieve their objectives, Sorao and Toriko’s bodies are soon affected by the Otherworld, preparing them for the numerous horrors that will occur.
