Drama Digest
“Tiger and Bunny” is originally a comedic superhero anime. A future society is shown in the series where superheroes are part of an agency, and they work for the agency’s profit. The lead characters are superheroes Kotetsu T., known as “Wild Tiger”, and Barnaby, known as “Bunny”. They start chasing a supervillain known as “Lunatic” and the two argue about morals and principles during the process.
The Feel-Good Part
The show has a hint of Western superhero media. The visuals and action scenes are excellent and provide entertainment. The soundtracks are lively. It provides its fair share of being humorous and intense where it needs to be. The story picked up the storyline from where the movie left.
The Disappointing Part
The show is almost like the previous season to a great extent, although it failed to provide a good plot this time.
In-Depth Analysis
The story is set in Sternbild City, where a diversity of people lives together. People with superhuman abilities exist along with ordinary people. Those with superhuman abilities are called NEXT; they use their power to save the earth from evil, and maintain peace. The heroes are under a company and they wear the company logo for sponsoring it. They solve crime mysteries and rescue people to acquire hero points. Their activities are also broadcasted on a TV show called “Hero TV”. The heroes try to increase their annual rankings and aim for the ” King of Heroes”. The two lead characters are Kaburagi T. Kotetsu and Barnaby Brooks Jr. They continue their heroic activities to increase their company’s reputation, which is Apollon Media. The system initially originated in Sternbuild City but was later adopted in places all over the world. A new hero appears in the city. Kotetsu and Barnaby got high expectations of themselves and will continue to persevere.
Star Power
The openings and endings are fantastic and the character illustrations are also pleasing. They were successful in providing colorful and appealing visuals. The characters give off vibes like cartoon spiderman and those of the classic western superhero genre.
Overall Opinion
Overall, it’s an excellent show to watch for all the action and superhero fans, and mostly if you liked the first season of the show.
