Satoru Mikami, a typical 37-year-old business employee, resides in Tokyo. Even though he doesn’t have a girlfriend, he is practically pleased with his routine life. An assassin attacks him while talking to his colleague. As he passes away from his wounds, a mysterious voice repeats in his head a sequence of orders that he cannot understand. Satoru gets reincarnated as a Slime in a strange environment. The power known as “Predator,” which enables him to consume anything and resemble its appearance and abilities, is one of the new skills he gains simultaneously. He comes into Veldora, a formidable “Storm Dragon” who has been imprisoned for the past 300 years for destroying a village. Satoru embraces the dragon after feeling sorry for him and promises to assist him in breaking the seal. They decide to swap names, and Veldora gives him the title Rimuru in exchange for getting the title, Tempest. Slime takes advantage of the opportunity to analyze the spell internally and ultimately free Veldora by consuming the dragon and his captivity. The loss of Veldora’s aura leaves a power void that eventually elevates Rimuru to the supreme leader among all creatures living in the Great Forest of Jura. These creatures honor Rimuru as their leader, and the two go on to form the country of Tempest. The new nation soon gains power and influence due to Rimuru’s strength, knowledge, and ambitious vision. Soon, Rimuru and his subjects attract the interest of the adjacent foreign powers, ranging from kings and legendary heroes to demon lords. Some wish to join forces while others aim to exploit or destroy them.
