Drama Digest

God created the heavens and the Earth in the early stages. He also intended to populate the planet with a wide range of species. However, he found it exhausting to develop new concepts that matched his requirements. Instead, God created an organization—the Heaven’s Design Team—to take care of the situation! Shimoda is a recently hired angel who works as a mediator between God and the design team. As he settles into his new position, he observes his employees develop innovative approaches for various unique life forms following God’s instructions. The prospects for different animal species are limitless, from giraffes and snakes to birds, anteaters, and anything else!

The Feel-Good Part

It is another informative anime. This series focuses on living species. The characters have to define their logic for each creature’s design. They were mixing religion and evolution, detailing how their bodies originated and explaining how they would survive in the actual world by transporting them to Earth testing them. These tests decide which animals God accepts and rejects and the reasoning for those decisions. All of this was made even more enjoyable by the show’s gentle, friendly, and laid-back comedy.

The Disappointing Factor

I believe this was created in the anime while seeing real-life photographs of animals was unsettling at times. If you dislike watching real-life photos of animals in dramas, you should think twice before watching this show. But it didn’t upset me too much. It operates continuously as workplace cells, but it focuses on learning.

In-Depth Analysis

The production is also stunning! The studio did an incredible job, especially with the animation. The anime designer was flawless, shifting the focus in the first moments and not disappointing at all. I’d like to see more of his work because he has the potential to do so. The characters are also fantastic; some are obsessed with horses, while others are obsessed with odd monsters. Everything in Design-Bu used to attract the attention of the public. Of course, the songs are fantastic, especially regarding the show’s concept. It’s a well-thought-out combo.

Star Power

Shimoda, a new administrative angel, and the design team, each named after one of the solar system’s nine planets, make up most of the cast. A few side characters are the bug team, Ueda, Shimoda’s senior, and God himself. Still, they predominantly reside on the sidelines and, in a way, broaden the show beyond the primary design room and the Galapagos Island testing grounds, portrayed as the series’ main setpieces.

Overall Opinion

I have a good time with this humorous, pleasant, and informative show; Despite the story’s connections to Divine Heaven and God. It presents an efficient perspective towards how animals are created, highlighting the scientifically restricted factors that prevent particular animal designs from being implemented. It’s a lighter take on “intelligent design” than evolution, although it nevertheless nods to growth using the Galapagos Islands. Overall, this is a well-written and entertaining anime!
