Drama digest:

This is a story of reminiscence of a late partner through the flashbacks of their detective past they spent together. The series is an emotional blend of love, mystery, crime and memories.

The feel-good factor:

A painful love story can be said to be the only interesting thing in the series.

The disappointing factor:

The writing of the show is really awful. There are a lot of instances on the show that happens due to no specific reason and without any reason. For example, the female moves in with the male protagonist only after half a day of knowing him, the male protagonist, being an 18-year-old college student, gets the license to work for an international undercover detective agency to solve the crime, etc. A lot of things happen out of context and the show turns out to be utterly disappointing despite the interesting concept.

In-depth analysis:

The series revolves around an 18-year-old young man named Kimihiko Kimizuka. The biggest problem of his life is that he attracts trouble no matter where he goes. Due to this unfortunate luck of his, he has been into cases of robbery, murder, police cases, etc, several times. Another day in his life, and he’s ready to board a flight. To his luck, that same flight gets hijacked. The plane is saved by a woman who goes by the nickname ‘Siesta.’ Kimihiko is mind-blown by the heroic act of Siesta. Later it is learned that Siesta is a self-proclaimed and exceptional detective belonging to a group called ‘Twelve Turners’ of twelve people who solve crimes together. Seeing some of Kimihiko’s characteristics, Siesta invites him to be her assistant. After initially denying it, Kimihiko later agrees and accepts Siesta’s proposal. Both of them solve numerous massive cases together and become close. Unfortunately, Siesta passes away three years later. Kimihiko’s life turns upside down. He becomes a different person from what he used to be. He becomes a dull and quiet person after Siesta’s death. After all, she was the love of his life. A few months later, Kimihiko finally decides to move on, and several criminal cases were piled in front of him. It is really tough for Kimihiko to solve these cases as the detective in him had died with Siesta. He could not erase Siesta no matter what.

Star power:

Siesta, who has a big impact on the story even after she passed away, is the highlight of the show. In a short period of time, she had become the love of Kimihiko’s life, which constitutes for the emotional ride throughout the series. The audience can feel the reminiscence of Siesta through Kimhiko’s eyes and story.

Overall opinion:

The story isn’t based on a unique concept. But with good writing, it would’ve turned out to be a crime genre series with an emotional roller coaster. But the show couldn’t deliver.
