Drama Digest
Shine post is a Japanese Idol themed show. It is based on a light novel series by the same name written by Rakuda and illustrated by Buriki. The story of an ideal group named Tings is an unpopular group with few accomplishments. They’re on the verge of breaking up. But when a new manager takes them, the group takes a new turn for success.
The Feel-Good Part
As there are very few idol-themed anime. This is one of the best of that theme. It has an interesting story with realistic characters. It is different from other shows in the character development of all three idols. Every girl had her mini-arc where they show their back story and motivations. They went into depth in these stories and showed every emotion they have undergone while being in the idol group. The music is perfect and suits the show. It stands out amongst all the idol shows that have been made to date.
The Disappointing Factor
The weakest factor about the show is its art style. Many fans have complained about the art of the anime being unsatisfactory and it has room for improvement.
In-Depth Analysis
The Idol group includes Haru Nabatame, Rio Seibu, and Kyouka Tamaki. Their group is on the verge of separating. They struggle to have a show with barely 37 people. Group can survive if they can hold a concert with seats for 2000 people for their anniversary concert. It seems impossible for them when suddenly a new talented manager, Naoki Hinase, takes up their group and opens new doors for them. Naoki was initially hesitant to take up their group because of his experiences, but when he realized Haru’s passion as an idol, he takes charge of it. Haru’s ideology was to make everyone love idols, despite the many challenges she faces. She will go to any length such as becoming the shining guidepost, i.e., Shine post, to fulfill her dream.
Star Power
The VA’s excellent job voicing the characters. Suzushiro Sayumi, Natsuyoshi Yuuko, and Kanisawa Moeko are the prime actors in the show.
Overall Opinion
It is an amazing and entertaining drama and will not disappoint. Especially for those who are fans of the Idol genre of shows, this is perfect. The needs more viewers as it received less recognition.
