Anime Digest

A fictionalised version of Japan called Hinomoto is the setting for this story, and for a very long time, rail travel was the primary mode of transportation there. A humanoid control module, known as Raillord, was linked with each locomotive to assist the train operator. Suzushiru accidentally woke up the Raillord Hachiroku and took ownership of her. They promised to work with Paulette, her stepsister Hibiki, the town’s mayor, the local railway chief, and others to locate her missing locomotive for various reasons.

The Feel Good Part

The setting and the artwork are gorgeous. The locomotive and trains are animated very well.

The Disappointing Factor

This series has two issues, which account for the vast majority of the public’s disapproval. First, there is the scandalous synopsis that misled readers into purchasing the book in the first place. However, I believe that the second issue makes the show completely meaningless. It is in addition to the characters all being uninteresting and nothing happening.

In-Depth Analysis

It’s entirely fan service, and even that isn’t very good. I doubt that seeing these characters engage in corporate marketing brainstorming meetings will interest you, even if you’re a die-hard fan of the graphic novel.

Star Power

The characters have good design and are gorgeous for mere fan service.

Overall Opinion

Not recommended.
