Anime Digest

Most individuals would want to be the protagonist of an adventure-filled environment, whether in a game or in another dimension. However, a particular female is not that fortunate. She recalls her previous life and discovers that she was reborn in the world of Fortune Lover, one of her favourite games.

The Feel-Good Part

The difference is that instead of being cast in the position of a hero and being tasked with saving the world or something along those lines, the protagonist is cast in the role of a villain, and it is her self-determined purpose to avert Villainess’ fate. Furthermore, this goal is something Katarina, the protagonist, is intentionally working on and her major focus, rather than an end game that the protagonist finally comes to after having their deal off side excursions. This is both a source of fascination since we can see her intentions materialise and a source of comedy because her tunnel vision gets her into circumstances she not only accidentally appears in, but she doesn’t even realise. This makes the harem far more interesting to watch it doesn’t fall into the protagonist’s lap, and the protagonist doesn’t pursue after others while having more pressing concerns. Instead, it emerges organically when the protagonist has a beneficial impact on the world and the people in it. It turns out that the protagonist’s lack of interest in romance is another factor that could make reverse harem anime appealing, not to mention the inclusion of both sexes in the harem’s ensemble, which considerably expands the anime’s potential population.

The Disappointing Factor

Nothing can disappoint you after watching this anime.

In-Depth Analysis

The majority of individuals would want to be the protagonist of an adventure-filled universe, whether in a game or elsewhere. However, a certain girl does not have the same luck. She finds she was reincarnated in the realm of Fortune Lover, one of the games she used to play, when she regains her memories of her previous existence. Unfortunately, the character she was reborn as, Catarina Claes, is the game’s major enemy, and she faces certain death in each ending. She uses her great understanding of the game to free herself from the shackles of this terrible fate. This, however, will not be an easy task, especially because she must be mindful not to set off death flags, which could hasten the imminent doom she is attempting to avert. Nonetheless, she aspires to be the villainess rather than the heroine in order to effect change in the lives of those around her.

Star Power

The comedy is truly engaging and does not become stale throughout the course of the anime’s episodes. Story progression is evident, as is character development, which is primarily influenced by Katarina’s survival planning, both intentionally and unintentionally. The cast is likeable and does not feel like a generic bishounen ensemble. The animation is flawless, and the introduction is captivating.

Overall Opinion

An amazing isekai that educates about the boundaries of one’s decision in both games and real life. How dating simulators limit you to a few options, when in reality, you have a limitless number of options. If you don’t watch it, you’ll be missing out on a masterpiece.
