Anime Digest

The Kobayashi home is filled with restless characters, with mischief being a daily feature as Tooru pursues her ambition to become the strongest maid and Kanna Kamui is determined to be the best elementary school student. On one such day, though, a gigantic landslide is witnessed on the hill where Kobayashi and Tooru first met, demonstrating the might of a dragon. When none of the dragons they know claims responsibility, the offender herself appears from the sky: Ilulu, the extreme Chaos Dragon with terrible power rivaling Tooru. Sickened by Tooru’s relationship with humans, Ilulu resorts to the traditional dragon way of resolving conflicts—a battle to the death. Despite this, she is intrigued by Kobayashi’s ability to befriend dragons and chooses to investigate what makes Kobayashi so unique. Kobayashi’s life is getting better with the arrival of a new problematic dragon in town.

The Feel-Good Part

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 is known as Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S. It marks the return of KyoAni to anime production after the horrifying tragedy that took place in 2019. It has been a powerful and visually satisfying animation leaving no stones unturned.

The Disappointing Factor

In a span of 12 episodes, the producers managed to cover the plot. However, it had some arcs that felt a bit unnecessarily long-Kanna’s adventures and the Comiket episode.

In-Depth Analysis

The season’s main threads were Elma and Tohru’s conflict and the limits of Tohru and Kobayashi’s relationship, with Ilulu drifting in and out of the relationship. We also discovered an innovative method for resolving issues by the dragons, which was honestly peak comedy.

Star Power

The voice actors do great justice to the characters. You can sense the passion and the pain.

Overall Opinion

You might enjoy watching after watching the first season. It is a great follow-up that hooks you to its plot.
