Mira meets and befriends Ao during her childhood. She realizes that there is a star named after her but not after Ao. She promises him that they would disciver an asteroid together and name one after him.
Mira forgets about Ao. Few years later, Mira is in high school and wishes to join the astronomy club. But she finds out that it is being merged with the geology club. Here, she reconnects with Ao, who is a girl.
Together, they set out on journey to fulfil the childhood. The anime series is all about the voyage.
