Movie Digest
This movie is the sequel to the original ” white snake” It is based on a popular Chinese folktale. The movie is about the sisters, Verta who is the green snake and Bianca, who is the white snake as they battle it out with Fahai, the demon-slaying monk. Bianca is exiled to a pagoda and verta is attacked and sent to Asuraville, a city that stops her from using her demon powers. the city is inhabited by humans and demons in a constant fight to survive. Verma now has to figure out a way to leave the city and find her sister to rescue her.
The Feel Good Part
Such beautiful cinematography and some really good action sequences are shown in the movie. The characters are so well drawn and the animations are amazing, even the dressing style of the characters is appropriate.
The Disappointing Factor
Some viewers may find the series boring because it is animated and not everyone is a fan of animated movies. People need to watch the first part of the movie, that is the white snake to fully understand the movie and this can be off-putting for some people as only the second part is available on Netflix.
In-Depth Analysis
I would say that the movie in its entirety is confusing at times because some viewers have reported finding is based on a mythology that is almost unfamiliar to people who aren’t aware of Chinese culture or folktales. The graphics used in the movie are impressive and the animations are incredible, especially during the action scenes. The characters are cute and have the depth that is required but it feels like this is a sappy movie from start to end. The character design is appreciable and they have appropriate dressing styles. The theme is unfamiliar yet it feels a bit similar to many other movies. I liked the first movie better because there was more background story to the cast but this is a good enough movie. I would say it was intense. I wish that Netflix would have released the first movie on their platform as well so that viewers could relate to the story more by watching it in a continuation rather than stand-alone.

The voice actors have done a really good job portraying their characters. The job of a voice actor is so complex but this movie was accurately dubbed.
Overall Opinion
Overall, the movie is not horrible, it’s not bad but it is not amazing either. The show survives because it is a sequel plus it was released on a high-profile OTT platform like Netflix. The character designs are good and the cinematography is lovely, people should give this movie a chance.
