Jiu Tian Xuan Di Jue 2 is a story about Wang Huang, who owns the martial arts-derived Nine Heavens Emperor Jue, who was originally a mediocre Golden Academy student. To avenge his brother’s death, he puts on the mask of the Silver Tiger King.
The Feel-Good Part
This anime started rough, but the plot turned out to be very engaging. Wang Fan casually says words of wisdom that change the entire battlefield situation and make everyone against the fight. The main character is very charismatic and humble. Some of the character dialogue and animations were both hilarious and awkward.
The Disappointing Factors
The biggest disappointing factor of the show is its characters. The characters lack motivation and personality. Many of the characters, especially the antagonists, exist because of Wang Fan’s inferior character development and are not focused when outside of their interaction with Wang Fan.
In-Depth Analysis
Jiu Tian Xuan Di Jue 2 also known as The Success Of Empyrean Xuan Emperor 2 is the second addition to the popular show Jiu Tian Xuan Di Jue. It tells the story of Wang Fan, an ordinary student at the Yuan Wenliao Academy, who discovers the knack of the Emperor after investigating the death of his brother. It is said that the owner of this Emperor’s Knack will be the successor to Emperor Gentei. Fissures increase cultivation levels, and Wang Fan can break through cultivation human barriers. Wang Fan creates a secret persona named Silver Tiger King to investigate his brother’s death. His brother’s killer is found and executed along with the killer’s family, reassuring Wang Fan, but different races are intertwined with humanity and the Silver Tiger King. As the story progresses, other clans become more willing to join the demons and warmongers to fight humans and the Silver Tiger King, putting pressure on Wang Fan to cultivate like never before. Wang Fan casually says words of wisdom that change the entire battlefield situation and make everyone against the fight. This anime started rough, but the plot turned out to be very engaging. Though most of the characters lack motivation and personality. The main character is the only one with a strong personality. He was given a character arc that was basic but uniquely completed the story.
Star Power
The star power of the show is the voice actors. They almost single-handedly carry the entire show. The main character Wang Fan hiding his identity was very engaging. Wang Fan is very charismatic and relatable.
Overall Opinion
Overall, the whole premise of this story is that the characters underestimate Wang Fan’s abilities, and what is postponed as progress is the demon tribe who dies left and right for underestimating Wang Fan’s plot armor. Or just characters from other clans. This series has no purpose after his academy arc. Not only was the story devoid of breakthrough moments, but it also contained some very hollow characters.
